Sad... very sad.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesian police increased patrols on Sunday in the Poso area, plagued by sectarian violence for years, after assailants in black beheaded three teenage Christian girls.

At the Vatican, Pope Benedict offered his deepest sympathies to the families of the 16 to 19-year-old students, who police said were attacked by six machete-wielding men as they walked to school on Saturday on Indonesia's eastern island of Sulawesi.

Police official Made Rai said about 1,000 police, including reinforcements from other parts of the country, were securing the remote regency of Poso, with more than 300 additional officers expected to arrive during the day.

"So far no witness has been questioned and no suspect arrested," Rai told Reuters by telephone from Poso, about 1,500 km northeast of the capital Jakarta. One student survived and had described the attack.

The Vatican called the killings "barbaric" and said in a statement that the Pope would pray for "the return of peace among the people" of the region.

Muslim-Christian clashes in the Poso area killed 2,000 people from 1998 through 2001, when a peace deal was agreed.

While the worst violence abated after the deal, there have been sporadic outbreaks since. Bombings in May in the Christian town of Tentena killed 22 people.

The three headless bodies of the girls, dressed in brown uniforms, were left at the site of the attack. Their heads were found at separate locations two hours later by residents. source

The people who did it have not been arrested... no one has been questioned or anything. No group has claimed the attacks on these girls or anything. Poeple just know they were dressed in black, had mechedes. Really, people dont' even know if they were Islamic extremist... but I bet it is anyway. Michelle Malkin has some info.

Arrest Made in Stolent Jet Case... And GA Tech Suspect Released on Bond

An arrest has been made in the case of the jet plane stolen in Florida and flown to Georiga.

Gwinnett County officials said Wednesday that they have arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of a $7 million jet flown from Florida to metro Atlanta last weekend. source

Now I know that many of you, paticularly you bloggers, are just holding on to your seats. Ready to fume if the guy is Muslim or Arab... nah just some southern white boy.

Daniel Andrew Wolcott, 22, of Buford, is facing at least six charges, including one felony count of theft by receiving and five misdemeanor counts of reckless conduct, police said. He was being held at the Gwinnett jail in lieu of a $175,000 bond. source

Whoa! Just one felony? No way... but I have heard that as long as someone is flying 18,000 ft or less, they don't have to report it to like the big flying agency people.... what great homeland security we have!

An FBI terrorism task force was dispatched to investigate but there is no indication that terrorism was is involved, Mattox said. source

Moving on to other news.... let's look at the bomber of GA Tech who is he? Oh no! He's not an Arab either!!!!

The student, a nuclear and radiological engineering major from Pennsylvania, surrendered to Georgia Tech police Tuesday morning and was suspended from school pending the investigation, Georgia Tech Assistant Vice President Amelia Gambino told reporters during a news conference. source

Authorities said it appears that the incident was a prank and not an act of terrorism, which had been investigated as police looked for clues. source

Now, now. Before you comment, trackback, whatever let me make it clear that I really don't care what race these guys are. But let's face it, alot of you did get your panties all wet with excitment over these stories. Some of you have even gone so far as to say "Yes, based on these stories, there really is a homefront jihad going on". Some of you have assumed that these were Islamist, some crazy Arabs, etc, etc.... wrong.

Now I'm not saying that you being suspicious and simply talking about it is unreasonable, but to say "There really is a jihad going on at campuses", when no information has been released!!! Whoa.

If anything I need to be the one scared. I need to call my new friend from the mosque, who actually goes to GA TEch, and tell her to watch out for any suspicous white boys.

But who knows, maybe these guys are Muslims (just can't let the suspicion go can't you?!).

GA TECH Attempted Bomber Arrested... Police Believe it was a Prank, not Terror.

As Salaam Alaikum,

WSBTV (a local Atlanta broadcast station) has reported that a suspect has been arrested in the case of the GA TECH planted bombs

“Police said Tuesday that they have arrested a suspect accused of planting two soda bottles full of chemicals on the campus of Georgia Tech that prompted a terrorism investigation and the early morning evacuation of students from two residential dorms.”

And what do the police now believe?

“Authorities said it appears that the incident was a prank and not an act of terrorism, which had been investigated as police looked for clues”

Did they speak to this suspect before?

“Sylvia Abernathy, a spokeswoman for Atlanta police, said the person identified as the suspect in the case had been considered a witness during the early stages of the probe.”

So now the question is, what ethnicity and religion does this guy belong to? Of course the people who have decided that indeed there is a jihad going on U.S. College Campuses can’t wait until they find out this information.

Today three bombs, in soda bottles, were found on the GA Tech campus.

“Police said two soda bottles fashioned to look like bombs were found in the courtyard of one of the buildings. A janitor found one of the devices and it exploded in his hands as he picked it up”

Did his head come off?

“The janitor was picking up trash in the courtyard when he pulled out the bottle from bushes. The janitor was taken to a local medical clinic for evaluation but suffered no serious injuries, said Tech spokeswoman Amelia Gambino said.”

“"The Atlanta Police Department and Georgia Tech Police Department take these very, very seriously," Atlanta police Maj. C.J. Moss said. "It's a terrorist act . . . and we expect to identify those responsible and bring them to justice."”

Now the question is… is this a terrorist attack caused but jihadist? Or is this just a terrorist act, period, caused by anyone? I have already a few blogs today that have already said “We are under attack”. I want to laugh at such comments, but hey many terrorist are Muslims. But anyways, such comments remind me of McCarthy times. It's just like "OMGosh, are you serious?"

Baghdad Suicide Kills 10

As Salaam Alaikum,

Is it just me or am I the only one in the world who just does not get why Muslims go blow themselves up? It’s not as if Allah is going to grant them heaven if they do (but Allah can do as he wish of course). Don’t they know that it is haraam? Oh wait, but the people they are killing are Shi’ites… truly Allah allows the killing of Shi’ite Muslims…. Give me a break.

Ramadhan Mubarak! Do the French Really Accept Terror Fashion? By the way, I'm the Muslim Realist!

Ramadhan Mubarak! Well Ramadhan has officially began today in North America (those of you who started yesterday did it by other countries). Can I get an Alhumdulilah? “Alhumdulilah.” Well I am really looking forward to this month. There’s nothing like fasting when Allah (God) has commanded you to. I am so excited. Just in about a hour and 30 minutes though, I’ll be breaking the fast. I can’t wait to eat.

Moving on…

What is up with the French? Do they really enjoy the fashions of terror? No joke. Seriously. What the heck man?

Oh and speaking of terror and this whole Muslim thing, I’m the Muslim Realist. Yup, that’s right. No I’m not an author (but sometimes I like to write), rather I am Muslim who facing the honest truth. Many Muslims are terrorist! Or at least being influenced by them. My message is to basically say that we as Muslims need to rise up and point these people out. Not hush up and shut up over these situations, but rather expose them and criticize them and show people everywhere, that we are against this.
